Is Ruchiq completely free during Early Access?+

Yes! During the Early Access beta phase, Ruchiq is completely free. You get full access to all features—WhatsApp automation, digital menu, order management, staff access, compliance tracking, and AI menu extraction—at no cost. There are no hidden fees, overage charges, or limitations during Early Access. Our goal is to help you establish direct digital orders and prove the ROI before we introduce any pricing.

How long does the Early Access period last?+

Early Access is currently open as we validate demand and finalize our official technology partnerships with Razorpay and Shiprocket. There is no fixed end date. Once Ruchiq transitions to the next phase, all restaurants will receive immediate notification and a 30-day grace period (completely free) to set up their integrations before billing begins. Our goal is to ensure you see real revenue before you pay a single rupee.

Will my data and orders be preserved after Early Access ends?+

All your data—orders, customer information, menu, invoices, and insights—will be preserved permanently. Your complete transaction history remains accessible and searchable. The 30-day grace period after Early Access ends gives you time to evaluate the paid plans and decide the best tier for your business. You can continue using Ruchiq without any interruption during this period.

How quickly can I get started with Ruchiq?+

You can sign up and configure your store in about 15-20 minutes. To ensure a compliant marketplace, your store will go live after a quick admin verification (typically within 24 hours) of your details like FSSAI license and policies. You can use this time to perfect your menu and store settings.

Do I need my own WhatsApp Business API account?+

No, you don't need your own WhatsApp Business number or API credentials. Ruchiq uses a single centralized WhatsApp number for all restaurants. When customers scan your QR code, they send a message to Ruchiq's number with your unique restaurant identifier (auto-generated from your name and location), and our system instantly responds with your PWA link. This eliminates technical setup entirely.

How does the WhatsApp Automation work?+

Customers scan your QR code which opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message containing your restaurant identifier (like "Hi RestaurantName-Location"). When they send this message to Ruchiq's WhatsApp number, our system instantly recognizes your restaurant and automatically replies with a direct link to your interactive digital menu (PWA). Customers then place orders through this PWA, ensuring accuracy and giving them a premium app-like experience without downloading anything.

Can I give access to my staff?+

Yes! You can add team members with specific roles. Owners have full access and can assume Manager or Staff roles for testing (secure phone verification required to switch back to Owner). Managers can handle daily operations and menus but cannot access financial or billing settings. Staff (Kitchen/Delivery) have a focused view of only the active orders assigned to them. Staff login via WhatsApp OTP to receive real-time order notifications - they must login at least once per business day (4 hours before opening) to maintain the notification window.

How does FSSAI and GST validation work?+

During onboarding, we validate your FSSAI license and GSTIN format to ensure correct entry. Our admin team then manually verifies these credentials against government portals during the go-live review process, typically completed within 24 hours. This ensures your licenses are valid, active, and match your registered business name. Auto-validation using government APIs is coming soon and will enable instant verification during onboarding. If your FSSAI license is expiring within 30 days, the system will prompt you to renew it first before continuing.

Is Ruchiq a B2B or B2C platform?+

Ruchiq is a B2B SaaS platform. We sell software subscriptions to restaurant owners (Business-to-Business). Restaurant owners then use Ruchiq's tools to provide B2C service to their end customers (selling food to consumers). Since the actual transactions are B2C (restaurant selling food to consumers), features like e-invoicing/IRP (which is only required for B2B transactions above ₹5 Crore turnover) are not needed. Ruchiq generates standard GST-compliant invoices for all consumer food orders, which is sufficient for B2C commerce.

What happens when I exceed my Digital Order limit?+

During Early Access, there are no overage fees. You can accept unlimited Digital Orders at no cost. Once Ruchiq transitions to paid plans, different tiers will have different order limits with overage fees. However, you'll receive 30 days notice before any charges begin, giving you time to evaluate which plan works best for your order volume.

Can I manage multiple restaurant locations?+

Yes! During Early Access, you can manage multiple locations from a single dashboard at no extra cost. When paid plans launch, the Growth tier will be designed for multi-location businesses with dedicated features and flexible billing based on your active locations.

Can I integrate my own payment gateway?+

For now, Ruchiq supports Manual UPI payments where customers send payment via UPI directly to you. This lets you accept orders immediately without complex setup. Automated payment processing via Razorpay is coming soon after we validate demand with restaurants and consumers using the manual method. When available, you'll be able to enable it with a simple OAuth connection - no API keys needed.

Is Ruchiq GST compliant?+

Yes! Every order generates GST-compliant invoices with proper CGST/SGST (intra-state) or IGST (inter-state) breakdown. All subscription invoices are also GST-compliant. If you're not GST-registered yet, Ruchiq still works for you—we support both GST-registered and non-GST businesses.

What happens if my FSSAI license expires?+

Compliance is key. Our system tracks your FSSAI license validity and sends reminders 120 days before expiry. If your license expires, your storefront will be automatically blocked from accepting new orders until a valid license is updated. This ensures your business remains compliant with food safety regulations.

How does the AI Menu Extraction work?+

Simply upload a photo or PDF of your menu, and our AI will extract items, descriptions, and prices. During Early Access, you get unlimited AI menu extractions at no cost. This helps you get set up instantly without manual typing.

How are refunds handled?+

Ruchiq is a non-custodial platform, meaning we don't hold your money. For Manual UPI orders, payments go directly to you from your customers. You are responsible for initiating refunds directly to customers. Ruchiq provides the tracking and reporting to help you manage these requests efficiently. When automated payment processing becomes available, refunds will be handled through your payment gateway.

What kind of support do you provide?+

All restaurants in Early Access receive priority support. Our team responds during business hours, typically within 4-6 hours for general inquiries. All Early Access users get onboarding assistance, menu setup help, and direct support from our team to ensure you get the most out of Ruchiq. For urgent technical issues, please clearly mark your email as "URGENT" in the subject line for prioritization.

Can I access my data if I decide to leave?+

Yes! Your data remains accessible for 30 days after cancellation through your dashboard. You can export your orders, customer information, menu, and invoices during this period. Contact support@ruchiq.com if you need assistance retrieving specific data before the 30-day window ends. No lock-in, no data hostage.

How do I cancel my subscription?+

Cancel anytime from your restaurant dashboard settings. No long-term contracts, no cancellation fees. Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period, and you retain full dashboard access for 30 days after cancellation to retrieve an...

Do customers need to install an app?+

No! For their first order, customers simply scan your QR code to access your menu instantly in their browser. They can then place orders right away. Regular customers can optionally click "Install App" to save it to their home screen for even faster access.

How does QR code ordering work?+

Customers scan your QR code which instantly opens your interactive digital menu (PWA) in their browser. No app download required! They can browse items, add to cart, and place orders directly. No email required - customers verify their phone number once via WhatsApp OTP and can place orders immediately. After placing an order, they receive real-time updates via push notifications and WhatsApp within their active message window.

How do customers receive order updates?+

Customers receive order confirmations and status updates via WhatsApp if they have an active message window (initiated by placing an order). This means if they ordered recently, they'll receive all order updates within 24 hours. After 24 hours, they can click a "Track Order" button from their last message to re-engage. No email required - WhatsApp is our primary notification channel for customers.

Do I need FSSAI license to use Ruchiq?+

Yes, FSSAI registration is mandatory for all food businesses in India. During sign-up, you'll provide your FSSAI license number for verification. Our system sends you a reminder 120 days before your FSSAI license expires, giving you plenty of time to renew. If your FSSAI license expires, your storefront will be blocked from accepting new orders until you renew it and update the details on Ruchiq.
